| Popular mobilization to prevent the fraud
Indeed, despite the tremendous popular mobilization on election day, despite the constant taking to the streets in the days that followed in order to ensure the people's vote was respected, the bourgeois apparatus continues to interfere, trying to block, steal, and cheat. Fraud from the very first day of the election: delaying the process several hours; obstacles; hindering the voters from expressing their choice for the "Lespwa" ("Hope") platform candidate; and cheating with maneuvers of manipulation and falsification of the results. Just as bad is the fact that certain opportunistic politicians, corrupt candidates (the old "big-eaters" - 'granmanjè' - who've decided to come back to steal as the head of State), and some bourgeois representatives of the Lespwa Platform, are calling on the people to calm down, go home, and trust the bourgeois electoral apparatus to do things correctly. Lies! If it hadn't been for the people's major and constant mobilization since the very day following the elections - and that must continue to go on! - the big fraud they intend to pull off would certainly already have happened. Pressure is even being put Préval himself to accept to a second round, which would legitimate the fraud going on. A SECOND ROUND IS OUT OF THE QUESTION! For two reasons. The first being that the popular vote's candidate has already CLEARLY won. So this is reason enough. Period! The second being that if this is accepted, if this first fraud remains in place, the second will be easier still and we'll won't be surprised to hear that in the second round - this candidate lost again. They have all sorts of advanced techniques to make fraud again - and better! Especially when such a flagrant antecedent as that currently taking place will have been accepted. The moment is crucial, brutal and, as we already said in our Political Bulletin, decisive. It is no coincidence that the imperialists recently sent 800 soldiers to the neighboring Dominican Republic, adding them to the present 14,000 (fourteen thousand!!!) soldiers already stationed in the province of Barahona, close to the border. It's the definitive invasion that is being planned, it's the protectorate so often talked about that's in execution. WE HAVE TO PREPARE TO FACE IT! With the recent killings in Cité Soleil, Pelé, and Solino, the UN soldiers are revealing their true face, Today, once again, they killed a young man who was demonstrating in Tabarre, and wounded several others. This is the situation of OCCUPATION that is clearly revealing itself. The candidate Manigat, in second place according the figures given by the Electoral Council, has stated that he is already prepared for the second round. This means that he accepts the fraud. The accomplished opportunist that he is, he's already prepared to steal the victory from the popular mobilization and, at the same time, block it. All of these bourgeois of all sorts and old-time opportunistic politicians, are shedding their "democratic" masks. They're doing all they can to polarize the situation further yet. We ourselves say: IF POLARIZATION IS WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR, POLARIZATION IS WHAT THEY'LL FIND!
